Ante at Publika: the place for ribs!

We rarely have meat, so when we do, we want to ensure it's a place that we will enjoy. We went back to Ante to check out their pork ribs and carbonara pasta (that has real bacon).

Quick lunch, fuss-free, great service and spacious. The requirements of every parent who has 2 kids in tow. My helper was able to push my 7-month old son around with the stroller to lull him to sleep -- hence I appreciated the spaciousness of the place. My daughter shared the ice tea with me ... which was very tasty (I had to dilute with some water). She had her carbonara pasta while we had our ribs galore.

Good, reliable place for pork ribs.

On our way out, I bumped into some of my ex-colleagues who were about to dine at the same place. Talk about coincidence!

Morelli's Gelato at Bangsar ... Heavenly!

It was one of those rare date nights with hubby. We decided to go for something safe, so we chose La Bodega, a restaurant that has been around for the longest time. We didn't feel like eating big portions so La Bodega tapas was a good choice. Dinner experience wasn't that smooth -- a small hiccup with their service... however we didn't want to ruin our "rare" evening. After a nice dinner chatting as normal boy-girl-having-dinner (sans les petits), we were headed back to the car and passed in front of Morelli's Gelato. They were giving out free taste, and kind of 'called us' to try... so we did.

Boy, that was a good decision!

We decided to have a little treat that night. I felt like a little girl having her ice cream treat moment.

The chocolate flavor was to die for ... seriously love it. Hubby and I shared just one scoop inside a cup. It was enough to leave me dreaming for my next visit...

I did visit again after a few weeks... this time with my daughter, my helper and my son in tow. We enjoyed our Morelli's one scoop cups. I will keep our Morelli's sessions as special moments -- where we indulge, and I get to relive my happy childhood memories.

Many interesting flavors

Immigration In Malaysia, My Experience

I recently went to renew my helper's work permit. This is my 7th year living in Malaysia. And this is the 4th renewal of my helper. We went on April 2014. I couldn't be more pleased with the way things are going at the Immigration Office at Putrajaya.

I went on a Thursday, drove there with my helper and my 7-month old son. Was kind of expecting a long waiting time, and instead was pleasantly surprised with the speed and efficiency of the staff there at the 2nd floor.

I got my number coupon and immediately my number was called up. I went there to show my helper's passport and informed them I am under the Resident's Pass, and they knew what it was. They went to do 2-minutes checking, and came back saying everything is okay, I just need to go to cashier to pay. I went to pay, there was just 1 person in front of me... then, went to another counter to submit the passport for immediate stickering. I asked the guy how long I need to wait, he said 10 minutes!

In 5 minutes, we received the passport with the new sticker! Wow. I was impressed. Either I got lucky or things are really getting better over there.

Kudos to the Immigration Department. Please do keep it up!
